Occupational Therapy skills include patient treatment for those impaired due to a physical illness, emotional disorder, congenital or developmental disability, or the aging process. Our program combines a strong employee's curriculum and opportunities for practical application in fieldwork experiences.
Most clients who enroll into the Occupational Therapy program have met challenges in their post-surgery state. Many of them have trouble re-adapting into their home environment. Moreover, they also encounter difficulties in regaining their self-care skills.
Through Occupational Therapy, patients are given access to rehabilitative treatment that focuses on muscle function, mobility enhancement, skills development and other procedures that enhance the patient's level of independence.
The treatment plan may include but is not limited to:- Mobility Training
- Activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Ergonomics
- Energy Conservation
- Fatigue Management
- Physician approved exercises;
- Vocational rehabilitation
- Equipment provision and training in the use thereof
- Postural education
- Stress Management
